New Chair of Surrey FA IAG Appointed
We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Soye Briggs as the new Chair of Surrey Football Association's Inclusion Advisory Group (IAG). Soye brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to equality and inclusion.
As the leader of the Inclusion Advisory Group, Soye will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Surrey FA remains at the forefront of inclusivity and accessibility. The group's primary objective is to support Surrey FA in fostering an environment that is welcoming to all individuals.
Soye's extensive background includes serving as the Head of Operations at Fulham FC Foundation and consulting with Brentford Community Sports Trust. At Crystal Palace, Soye held key positions and became the Director of Community Development at Crystal Palace FC Foundation (now Palace for Life Foundation) For 2 years he was Head of Equality for Crystal Palace FC and took them through the Premier League intermediate Equality Standard as a Club. His direct involvement with children, young people, families, and vulnerable adults has seen him take on key roles in creating, developing, and implementing both national and local programs.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the role, Soye stated, "To get the chance to be the chair of such an important group fills me with so much pride, and I can't wait to continue the great work that the Surrey FA have been doing in the equality and diversity space. Football is for everyone, and I can't wait to play a part in delivering this to the people in Surrey."
Soye has been a valuable member of the Surrey FA Board since 2012/3, serving as Vice Chair and Interim Chair, and actively participating in the Governance Sub-Group.

Soye has contributed significantly to Surrey football, driving compliance with the FA Code of Governance in 2022 and overseeing the Intermediate Equality Standard re-submission. Under his leadership, Surrey FA is on track to achieve the Advanced Standard, solidifying its commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
