International Women's Day event to be held in Guildford

Unite and Celebrate: Belonging and Togetherness for Women in Football

After an incredible 2022 for women's football, this International Women's Day, we’re delighted to be hosting our second annual networking and education event, 'Unite and Celebrate'.

The theme of this year's event is around belonging and togetherness and will consist of Q&A panels formed of special quests. We will hear from women who are paving the way for others in all aspects of the game as well as male allies who have supported women to belong and thrive within football.

Whatever your role is, we would love for you to join us for an evening of learning, inspiration, and overall positivity as we celebrate International Women's Day 2023 and the huge success of women in football in Surrey.

Panel One will focus on belonging and togetherness in the female game and will consist of:

  • Alice Kempski, FA National Development Manager - Pathways
  • Carol Bates, Founder of Crawley Old Girls
  • Sabiha Jamal, Head of Football at Goals4Girls

Panel Two will discuss being a male ally in female support and will feature:

  • Keith Bonas, Coach Development Manager at Palace for Life Foundation
  • Dan Storm, General Manager at Surrey Storm
  • Steve Jaye, Head Coach at Fulham Women FC
