New Funding Booster Packs Available

Surrey FA is excited to launch two Funding pots to help support & develop grassroots football.

Surrey FA is excited to launch two Funding pots to help support & develop grassroots football.  The Surrey FA Adult Booster Pack and the Surrey FA Charter Standard Booster Pack are open to clubs that are affiliated to Surrey FA and meet the criteria.

The Adult Male Booster Pack is here to support new or existing clubs that require that extra bit of financial help to support the running, sustainability and retention of their teams.  New Clubs must have a link with a Youth Club in order to promote being more sustainable and existing clubs must be working towards this.  Any open age adult male, U21 or U23 club or team can apply as long as they meet the criteria.

Any club with an adult team or an adult club can apply, clubs with Charter Standard and those that are working towards Charter Standard status will take priority however those that do not have Charter Standard are still eligible to apply.

This year, we are encouraging teams and clubs to be CREATIVE and INNOVATIVE with how they would use the funding.  We are looking at 3 specific areas for funding to be allocated:

  • RETENTION of players
  • RE-ENGAGE lapsed players, club officials etc.. Ways of getting people back into the game
  • COLLABORATION with other teams, clubs and organisations in order to promote sustainability

We will only allocate funding to applications that promote sustainability and growth of teams or clubs.

Allocated funding will range from £250 to £750 dependent on application.

The Charter Standard Booster Pack is here to encourage CREATIVE and INNOVATIVE applications from clubs who are looking to increase participation at their club.

Projects that we are particularly keen to support are those that are developing participation within the Women’s & Girls game, Disability football, Adult male football and Futsal, with a particular emphasis on new players.

We are encouraging clubs to be as creative as possible with their applications and to look at new and alternative ways to engage these new participants.  Ideas may include; marketing initiatives or a delivery programme or event for a new target group at the club – be as inventive as you can!  We are also looking to support other innovative ideas around making your club more sustainable particularly around the running of your club; perhaps you are looking to upskill your volunteers or to increase knowledge in additional ways to benefit your club.  Whatever your ideas are, we are keen to hear from you!

Allocated funding will range from £250 to £1000 dependent on application.

Deadline for both booster packs is Monday 22nd April 2019.
