Surrey Ref Promoted To Football League

Craig begun refereeing within the county in 2001, and has since gone on to officiate at a wide level of football, starting on the grassroots leagues across Surrey, before progressing through numerous leagues up to the National League.

Craig, who took charge of the 2016 Surrey County Cup Final between Merstham and Godalming Town, says: “I am very pleased to be promoted to the Football League, and I can’t wait for the new season to begin.”

Tim Lawrence, Referee Development Officer at Surrey FA, has praised Craig’s appointment. “Surrey County FA are extremely pleased that we have yet another referee promoted to the middle of the Football League,” says Tim. “We send our congratulations to Craig who has worked very hard to achieve this. We wish him all the best in his first season as a Football League Referee.”
