SURREY'S FLAGSHIP FOOTBALL COMPETITION
The first Surrey Senior Cup was started in 1882, when the Surrey County Football Association's had it's very first meeting as an organisation.
The current champions of the competition are Met Police who beat Tooting & Mitcham 2-0 in the 2018/19 final. This was Met Police's third Specavers Senior Cup Trophy in the club's history, further asserting themselves as a club to be reckoned with in this competition. Historically, the most successful club in the competition are Dulwich Hamlet of South London, who have have won the competition 16 times.
Although the most successful club, Hamlet haven't appeared in a Specsavers Surrey Senior Cup Final for over 40 years, with the club going on to withdraw their dual-affiliation due to budgetary reasons after the 2008/09 season. This makes Sutton United the club who currently compete the most successful, having won it 15 times, and are hot on the tail to become the record holders.
