County Welfare Officer

Surrey County FA requires a committed, enthusiastic and flexible individual to support delivery of their Strategy.

County Welfare Officer (Full Time)

Salary Scale: £25,000-£28,000

The post-holder will be responsible for managing all the day-to-day aspects relating to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults within the Surrey County FA in line with legislation and FA policy, regulations and guidance.  

The successful applicant will need to work closely with the FA as well as liaising with the Local Authority Designated Officers, child protection teams and the police when required. They will provide support and guidance for youth league and club welfare officers across the County aiming to address poor behavior and raise standards in grassroots football.  

The successful applicant will need to have knowledge of safeguarding children and vulnerable group’s legislation as well as experience of working as a designated person. They should have a child centered approach with experience of writing reports and compiling case file information.

Facilities Manager

Surrey County FA requires a committed, enthusiastic and flexible individual to support delivery of their strategy.

Salary Scale: £28,000 - £30,000

The post-holder will be responsible for successfully managing the new facilities of the Surrey County FA at Meadowbank, due to be opened in August 2017. They will manage and oversee the user database and booking systems to allocate pitch and changing room usage, as well as overseeing the bookings of the County meeting rooms. They will need to maximise the usage of the facilities whilst showcasing the services of Surrey County FA and meeting the requirements of Sport England and Mole Valley District Council.  

The successful applicant will have previous experience of facilities or operational management as well as a proven track record of managing or supervising staff. They should have strong interpersonal and relationship management skills as well as knowledge of risk management and health & safety. They will need a passion for standards and cleanliness as well as a willingness to work peak times including evenings and weekends.
