Children and Young People Football Development Officer

Full Time – 35 hours per week / Salary Scale: £23,000 – £25,000

Surrey FA and the University of Surrey require a committed, enthusiastic and flexible individual to support delivery of their Strategies.

The post-holder will be responsible for developing football to support delivery of the Surrey FA and the University of Surrey strategies for football and futsal as part of their new strategy from 2018 – 2021.

The Role

The role will be based between Surrey FA headquarters in Dorking and University of Surrey at Surrey Sports Park in Guildford.

The successful applicant will work strategically in the Guildford Local Authority area and be responsible for developing various areas of the game but with a main focus around implementation of the Children & Young People (CYP) offer for 12 – 24 year olds for Surrey FA. In addition, the successful applicant will lead delivery of The FA University Grassroots Hubs at The University of Surrey including Team Surrey, Surrey Sports Park and University of Surrey.

The successful applicant will need to have a background in sport/football Development and be able to demonstrate how they have worked strategically with key partner organisations. They will need to be able to work as part of a team with excellent communication and presentation skills.

Please note this is not a coaching role.

The post is full-time (35 hours a week) until June 30th 2019 (continuation subject to performance and funding) and will be based between Surrey FA’s Headquarters in Dorking and Surrey Sports Park in Guildford.
