Education - Courses

Surrey FA work with a number of local partners to offer disabled people the opportunity to develop their coaching qualifications and fulfil their coaching ambitions.

Below is a list of courses tailored specifically for disabled people.

1. Dering Employment Services

Coach-Ability-Level 2 Community Sports Leadership Award

Dering Employment Services offer a Community Sports Leadership Award called Coach-ability. Coach-ability is a unique, innovative sports coaching programme that enables unemployed disabled people the opportunity to acquire coaching qualifications in their sport of interest, combined with job search skills to help them access a range of jobs in the sports sector.

Coach-ability takes all participants through the Level 2 Community Sports Leadership course, which consists of 35 hours of in class coaching theory and applied practical coaching sessions. Upon completion of the 35 hours, all participants are required to complete a 10 hour coaching placement within their community.
