Women and Girls Community Champion

Clive Biggins named as our new Women and Girls Community Champion

We are pleased to announce that Clive Biggins is our new Women and Girls Community Champion and will be supporting new female coaches this season.

Clive will be working directly with clubs, identified by Surrey FA, who are looking to increase their numbers of female coaches. The personalised support will begin with a ‘Stepping Over the Sidelines’ workshop delivered to interested coaches, followed by 1-2-1 mentoring to support coaches as they start their journey.

His role is an example of Surrey FA’s commitment to growing the female game in Surrey and having on-the-ground representatives to support and increase opportunities for women and girls across the county.

“Although female participation is at an all-time high in Surrey, were still have some way to go in building and sustaining a diverse female workforce, including coaches and referees. This new Community Champion role will be key in supporting new females feel confident enough to take that first step into the coaching, subsequently inspiring more women to get involved” – Emma Eaton, Football Development Officer (Female Lead)

If you want support to start, grow or develop a female provision within your club or organisation and would benefit from Clive’s support please contact Emma Eaton at Emma.Eaton@SurreyFA.com
