Surrey FA to run Super Sevens Football Festival this July

As part of the WEURO celebrations this summer, Surrey FA are delighted to be delivering a football festival for women and girls across Surrey.

This Summer is lining up to be an incredibly exciting time for the Women and Girls game across the Country, as England hosts the 2022 UEFA Women’s EUROs. As we look forward to welcoming some of the best Female players from across Europe, Surrey FA are excited to announce that we will be delivering a football festival this July.

Super Sevens is a football festival, for women and girls from across Surrey. The tournament is open to all ages and abilities with the aim to engage with new and existing player, build excitement surrounding the EUROs, and celebrate the Women and Girls game in Surrey.

Surrey FA will be delivering festivals on two different dates, the first, on Sunday the 3rd of July, is open for all Girls Youth from Wildcats to under 18s. The second will be suitable for adult, recreational and walking football team, and will be held on Sunday 17th July.

The format of the festival will be a round-robin, with 10-minute fixtures. Games to be played as 7 aside (flexibility to reduce to 5 or 6 aside, to be decided on the day), with a maximum squad size of 10 players.
