e-County Cup 2021 - The Live Finals

The live finals of our first ever e-County Cup tournament will take place on Sunday 23rd May.

The live finals of our first-ever e-County Cup Tournament will take place at Meadowbank Football Ground on Sunday 23rd May.

In February, we launched the first ever e-County Cup, becoming the first County FA to delve into the world of e-Sports.

The Cup was launched in the middle of the national lockdown to provide players and volunteers from our grassroots clubs with a chance to show off their gaming skills and continue to represent their club and community off the field.

56 grassroots clubs signed up, represented by over 100 individuals during the course of the competition from preliminary rounds through to the main competition.

The finals, which are being held at our Meadowbank Football Ground HQ on Sunday 23rd May, will host the remaining eight competitors. The gamers will battle it out for a prize pool worth over £500, the coveted e-County Cup trophy and the prestige of being recognised as the best FIFA player in the County.

The matches will be live-streamed on Twitch, as we continue to utilise the latest technologies to increase engagement with younger players. The stream will start at 2pm on the finals day and can be viewed atwww.twitch.tv/surreyfa

The e-sports format has allowed male and female players to compete against one another for the first time in a Surrey FA competition and forms part of our wider efforts to increase inclusion and equality in grassroots football participation.
