Mental Health First Aid course

The course will take place on Monday 17 and Wednesday 19 January

Surrey FA is delighted to offer you the opportunity to undertake the Adult Mental Health Awareness Training Course, provided by Mental Health First Aid England via Zoom in January 2022. 

We will be teaming up with Surrey Suicide Prevention Partnership for this course to be delivered by one of the leading experts in this field De La Mill Consulting.

The Mental Health Awareness course provides a fantastic foundation for anyone keen to learn more about mental health. 

On the course you will be introduced to:

What mental health is and how to challenge stigma, a basic knowledge of some common mental health issues, an introduction to looking after your own mental health and maintaining wellbeing. You'll also be given the confidence to support someone in distress or who may be experiencing a mental health issue.

You will also receive

- A certificate of attendance to say you are Mental Health Aware
- A manual to refer to whenever you need it
- A workbook including a helpful toolkit to support your own mental health

The course will consist of two, hour and a half sessions on the 17th and 19th of January 2022. You will need to attend both sessions to complete the course and receive your certificate, accredited by Mental Health First Aid England.
