Affiliation Window to Open on 1st June

Surrey FA’s affiliation window shall open on 1st June to allow clubs to commence their administrative processes.

We are pleased to announce that our affiliation window shall be opening to clubs in Surrey from 1st June ahead of the 2020/21 season.

A return date to football remains unclear and it is important that we all continue to follow both Government guidance and FA advice with respect to this. However, after consultation with a number of clubs, we as the governing body for football in Surrey felt that opening the window would allow clubs to begin administrative processes in lieu of sporting activities taking place.

Upon the opening of the window, details on how to complete the affiliation process will be shared.

As announced on 1st May, Surrey FA have decided to waive club affiliation and County Cup entry fees for the 2020/21 season to assist our clubs during this challenging period. With the ongoing uncertainty surrounding  COVID-19 , we reserve the right in line with competition rules, to alter the dates and format of our County Cup competitions.

We are also pleased to confirm that there will be a discount of 16.67% on personal accident insurance for those using our recommended providers, Sportsguard. Further information can be found here

These decisions supplement the ongoing work which we have been doing to support our stakeholders, including club support calls, funding application support around grant sources, regular webinars, bespoke support from the Surrey FA Senior Management Team, engaging digital content and Q&A sessions. Some of the resources we have created and shared, can be found here. We are grateful for the support of our headline sponsor Specsavers and our partners Hyped Marketing, Sporting Connect and Capital Content in assisting us with the creation of much of this.

SFA Official Medical Supplier - Koolpak

We are also pleased to announce that we will be continuing to work with Koolpak to provide further savings to our clubs on essential First Aid equipment from ice bags, first aid kits to defibrillators at discounted prices. The product range can be viewed here.

Surrey FA Benevolent Fund

With organisations and individuals facing great uncertainty and hardship at this time we would like to make you aware of the Surrey FA Benevolent Fund. The fund is designed to support players, official, referees and clubs suffering extreme difficulties with grants of between £250 to £500. Where further support is needed, SFA can recommend applicants to The FA’s Benevolent fund. Since 2010 the fund has provided £24,975 in grants and this fund is now be available to clubs that may find themselves in financial need due to circumstances outside their control.

We are looking to grow the fund so we can support more clubs and players. Donations can be made to the Surrey FA Benevolent Fund during the club affiliation process on Whole Game System or at any time by contacting finance@surreyfa.com.
