We are very excited to present the Surrey FA Football Fix Up!
This summer* will see the launch of Surrey FA’s new facility improvement project, which gives football clubs in Surrey the opportunity to bring members of the club and community together, to help make their club and facilities a more welcoming and enjoyable place for all.
Now more than ever, we are seeing the importance of everyone working together. When normal service is resumed ahead of the new season, club facilities will be desperately in need of some TLC. In calling upon their local communities, we are encouraging clubs to think about community-focused events which will centre around giving local football facilities a boost. These events will have the additional benefit of bringing the club and community together in one place to make the club a better place for all to enjoy.
Dust off your workwear, grab your friends and head to your club to lend a hand tidying, cleaning, fixing and decorating the facilities. This could be anything from sanding down benches and painting goalposts, to re-tiling the showers or weeding the car park!
What’s more, Surrey FA will be awarding grants of up to £1,000 and event Activation Packs to some of the best applications for successful clubs to make use of during their Football Fix Up events.
*Surrey FA Football Fix Up will take place once the measures to combat Coronavirus currently put in place have been lifted.
