Life After Professional Football: Richard Lee Webinar

On our next Sporting Connect webinar we'll be joined by former Watford FC and Brentford FC goalkeeper, Richard Lee

We are pleased to be hosting an interactive Q&A webinar with Sporting Connect where we'll be joined by former Watford FC and Brentford FC Goalkeeper, Richard Lee.

The online session, hosted by Sporting Connect, will provide an insight into Richard Lee’s life after playing professional football. Some more info on Richard's playing career and work career can be found below.

Richard has a wealth of experience in the fields of business, media and sport.

Having launched a host of successful business ventures both during and after his 15-year career as a professional footballer for Watford and Brentford, he is also a master practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming.

Following a First Class Honours Degree in Media and Journalism from Staffordshire University, Richard has authored two books concentrating on psychological challenges within football. He currently spearheads GK Icon and Tetra – a global goalkeeping and skills school supporting football’s next generation – and runs his own performance-driven football agency, Refuel Performance Management, boasting a growing roster of clients across English football’s four tiers and beyond.

More recently, Richard added to his business portfolio with the launch of The Goalkeepers’ Union, a subscription-based model acting as a one-stop shop for goalkeepers. Aside from hosting two goalkeeper-specific podcasts per week, the platform features blogs, training tips and host of useful tools for aspiring and current goalkeepers and goalkeeper coaches.

Elsewhere, notable media credits include a successful pitch on award-winning BBC show Dragons’ Den, match day punditry on Sky Sports’ Gillette Soccer Saturday, a key focus FourFourTwo documentary, Goalkeeper: The Loneliest Job In Football and regular appearances on talkSPORT radio. He is also the current host of a daily sports breakfast show on Love Sport Radio. Oh, and he did once bag the big prize on Channel 4 daytime show, Come Dine With Me.
