Surrey FA Share 2020/21 Equality Calendar
We are pleased to be able to share our brand new Equality Calendar for the 2020/21 season.
As an organisation, Surrey FA is determined to make football accessible for all and make sure everyone involved with football, in Surrey feels welcome. The information is given in the format of the nine protected characteristics, with the addition of Mental Health (which is protected under Disability) to help give clear sight of the different celebratory and awareness dates throughout the year.
The new calendar is designed to complement The FA and Kick it Out’s religious holiday calendar.
In his introduction to the calendar, Riz Rehman, Chair of our Inclusion Advisory Group, commented, ‘Since joining Surrey FA’s Inclusion Advisory Group last September, I have been delighted with the work the County has been doing to promote equality. However, there remains serious issues of inequality in both football and wider society. Education is central to driving change, and this calendar has been designed to pull together some of the key events throughout the year that champion Equality.’
The calendar can be downloaded below. Please feel free to share the calendar within your club or organisation.
