Surrey FA Statement: Surrey FA Under 18 Youth County Cup Final

On Friday 22^nd March Surrey FA hosted the Under 18 Youth County Cup Final between Whyteleafe Youth F.C. U18 and Epsom & Ewell Colts (U18 Blues) at Meadowbank Stadium, Dorking.

The match itself was an excellent contest, but was unfortunately marred by the behaviour of both sets of fans, which culminated in violent scenes at the conclusion of the game. It goes without saying that such behaviour is completely unacceptable in or around football in this country.

Surrey FA are committed to providing an inclusive football experience for anyone who wishes to play, coach, officiate, administer, support or be involved in any role in football within the county. Every person attending football in Surrey should feel safe and free from abuse and discrimination.

Last night’s incident showed a clear disregard for these principles from supporters of both clubs, and Surrey FA shall be working with the local authorities to carry out a thorough investigation.
