September Goal and Save of the Month Revealed
Surrey FA are excited to announce that the winners of our September Goal and Save of the month competitions have been revealed!
After three days of voting, and results changing back and forth, Georgie (Dorking U14 Elite Girls) and Lee Shipp (Dorkinians FC 1st) are the worthy winners of the Goal and Save of the month, respectively, for September.
A defensive mix up by Barnes was spotted by Georgie who took her opportunity and shot the ball over the keeper. The keeper was not able to adjust their positioning in time and the ball looped over them and into the back of the net.
In their game against NUFC Oilers, Lee Shipp pulled off a fingertip save to stop the ball from curling into the top left corner.
Our winners will now each receive a medal and a certificate and will be entered into our end of season competitions.
Congratulations to Georgie and Lee, and well done to all those who entered for making it a very close-run competition.
If you think you have a goal or save that is worthy of winning, our competitions are back for October! Make sure to send your original footage to estella.dawson@surreyfa.com and let us know who the scorer/keeper is and which fixture it came in.
