Referee Observers

    •

why do we have referee observers

Observers play a pivotal role in the development of officials at all levels of the game in Surrey. They are in effect the custodians of the Laws of the Game, ensuring Referees are of the correct standard. Referee reports play an important role in the Surrey FA Promotion Scheme and continued development of officials throughout the County.

Experienced officials from Level 7 upwards can positively influence the development and progression of referees at all levels, and we welcome contact from you if you believe you have the experience and skillset to be a Surrey FA Referee Observer.

You will be involved in observing referees appropriate to your level of experience and you can also still be an active referee and observe for the County when available.
