Co-ordinated by The FA and funded by Tesco and Sport England , the Skills Programme employs 106 specialist FA coaches to develop the football skills of children in England. Since 2007 we have provided more than two million places on football skills courses, and by 2014 we aim to provide another 2.7 million places.
We’re committed to helping boys and girls in England live a more active lifestyle and to be the best football players they can. We also want them to have fun, grow in confidence and learn teamwork and responsibility.
Your children can take part in The FA Tesco Skills Programme through their primary school or by signing up to take part in our regular After School Skills Centres and Free Holiday Sessions .
These sessions can be accessed by clicking here.
Charter Standard Clubs can receive FREE coaching support from The FA Tesco Skills Programme. The sessions are not just for children, but are also a great opportunity for coaches to work with qualified FA coaches who have been through the traditional courses as well as the new FA Youth Modules. Please download the Tesco Skills Menu below to see a detailed explanation of what's on offer. There is also a booking form below. (All coaches are First-Aid trained, have completed Safeguarding Children Workshops, CRB Checked and are FA Licensed Coaches).
Current Charter Standard Clubs they have worked with are Ewhurst Juniors FC, Molesey Juniors, Carshalton Athletic, Mayford Athletic and Sutton United.
