Surrey FA Launch Build, Sustain, Grow

A new kitemark for the women’s recreational game in Surrey.

We are excited to announce the launch of Build, Sustain, Grow, a new kitemark for the women’s recreational game in Surrey.

This kitemark is testimony to the progress that the women’s recreational game has made over recent years and here in Surrey we want to recognise this and support our recreational teams and groups. We hope that this will help them to develop further if this is their aspiration, but to also offer the best service possible to the organisers and participants.

The kitemark has 3 strands Build for bronze, Sustain for silver and Grow for gold, and the ambitions of a team will determine where they seek to fall within this. There are criteria associated with each of these strands which should not be too onerous to achieve but will help teams develop their offer further.

Women's Recreational Kitemark

This kitemark is built around the club or team and will allow them to develop their players as coaches and give them this experience should they want to gain an understanding in this area.

It will also support with safeguarding participants by ensuring that they have the correct policies in place, as well as having a qualified First Aider and further elements which demonstrate best practice being carried out for player safety and welfare.

To help us understand how we can support your club/team, fill out our kitemark application form here.
