Surrey FA are delighted to announce that we will be supporting local charity Amber through a dedicated County Cup Final fixture.

The Saturday Premier County Cup Final on Wednesday 24th April will be partly staffed by Amber residents, who will also be raising funds for the charity on the night.

The Amber Foundation is a charity that offers a fresh start to homeless young people in crisis. Amber provides a temporary safe place to live at their residential centre in Ockley, Surrey. Amber also have two other centres elsewhere in the UK. They aim to support young people to positively transform their lives and move them into secure accommodation and education, employment or training.

Amber has been supporting young people for 24 years, providing a unique mix of support, structure, new experiences and training that addresses any issues the residents may have. Residents then work on building self-confidence, motivation, self-discipline and their skill set to allow them to move forward with their lives in a positive way.

“My team leader wasn’t just a worker, he was my inspiration.  He helped me deal with my debts, open a bank account, build family bonds back up, pushed me to follow my ‘dreams and desires’ and above all he believed in me!” (Amber Resident)

“Coming to Amber was the best thing I’ve done in my life.  My confidence has grown and I feel really safe. I’m working towards going to college to study childcare”. (Amber Resident)
