What’s your role at Surrey FA?

Football Development Officer – Adult and Youth Male

What’s your background?

Studied Sports Development at university, and my working background is in rugby. Started by working in the Community Department for Leicester Tigers, and ended up overseeing and leading on all of their Community Rugby activity – Rugby Camps, Matchday Activities, Tournaments and Festivals etc.

More recently, have been working with the RFU in Warwickshire. Predominantly working with the on-field development of clubs – coach development, player recruitment, building the school offer through upskilling teachers and providing opportunities for players of all abilities and backgrounds to access the game.

What football team do you support?

Never really had a team, but living in Leicester when they won the Premier League Title was fantastic – definitely turned me into a fan!
