Strong Turnout For Women's Rec Festival

Nine teams took part in the festival with two debutant teams which was fantastic to see.

Surrey FA Women’s Rec Festival had a strong turnout on Saturday at Woking Leisure Centre.

9 teams took part with 2 very newly established teams involved, with this being both teams first tournament together.

Jon Burr, Football Development Officer (Women’s Lead) said, “It’s been fantastic to see the interest in Women’s recreational football continue to grow and even better to see a few new teams at this festival.

We are keen to engage with more groups and we will be launching a flexible league from November so if there are more interested groups out there get in contact with us”

More Ways to play

We will be launching a flexible league from Sunday 11th November which any recreational women’s team in Surrey can join.

The league will run every second Sunday of each month hopefully with an end of season finals day at Meadowbank to be scheduled.

If you are interested in signing up for the Surrey FA Flexible League contact Jon Burr.
