Ahead of the FIFA World Cup, the new Laws of the Game agreed by IFAB came into force.

A number of Law changes were approved at this year’s Annual General Meeting of the IFAB (3 March 2018) including the most important amendments regulating the use of Video Assistant Referees (VARs), as well as the VAR protocol.
