The Surrey FA is looking to recruit a Football Development Intern and is open to expressions of interest in the role.

The role would involve working within the Football Development team to support the Football Development Officers to grow grassroots football within Surrey across the following disciplines; Adult, Youth, Female, Disability, Coaching, Refereeing and Futsal.

Within the role the Surrey FA will provide additional opportunities for the Intern to develop themselves and progress further along the Coaching or Refereeing pathway, dependent on their own personal interests.

To support this, they will be guided towards local clubs and leagues to gain experience within whichever discipline they wish as well as opportunities to access FA courses and CPD. They will also become a member of the Surrey FA Youth Forum; this is a group of young leaders aged 16-24 who aim to give a voice to young people for football within the county. 

The ideal candidate would be someone who has an interest in a career within football, is actively involved in football currently and has a good understanding of what work the Surrey FA Football Development Team complete.

The location of the Internship will be at the Surrey FA’s Office in Dorking; Meadowbank Football Ground. Events and meetings will be at other venues at times, such as the FDO networking day at Wembley Stadium and many others within Surrey. Any travel expenses incurred will be paid by Surrey FA.
