Surrey Police and Young Minds Join CPD

Surrey FA has today announced that Surrey Police and Young Minds will be joining a Welfare Officer CPD event on 2nd November.

The evening is a free event aimed primarily at club and league welfare officers to bring them up to date with the The FA's Safeguarding policies and procedures.

Young Minds, the UK’s leading charity within the field of mental health amongst young people, will be highlighting key mental health issues currently amongst young people, whilst Surrey Police will be raising awareness around child sexual exploitation (CSE).

Other topics covered on the evening will include The FA’s Criminal Record Check (CRC) procedures, as well as a look at how to get the best out of the Whole Game System.

The evening will provide the chance to network with fellow Welfare Officers, as well as meet Phil Rendell, Surrey FA Welfare Officer, who will be leading the night. There will also be light refreshments served at the event, which begins at 7pm and finishes at 10pm at the Surrey FA offices in Dorking.
