The first Mums' & Recreational tournament, hosted by the Surrey FA at Woking Leisure Centre, took place on 18th March and saw 10 teams compete for the trophy.
The tournament, which had teams from all across Surrey compete, included teams from Crawley Old Girls, Palace Pumas, Weybridge Wolves, Woking Diamonds, Met Police and AFC Wimbledon.
The aim of the afternoon was to bring together as many like-minded teams from across the county, and encourage the development of more mums playing football, whether they had played football a lot before, or this was their first time.
"This tournament was the first of its kind for the Surrey FA," says Emma Barnes, Football Development Officer at Surrey FA. "We're really thrilled with how well it went and, most importantly, how much all of the ladies enjoyed themselves on the day."
Each team played four eight minute games in the group stages, before playing one final knockout game to decide their overall standing. AFC Wimbledon went on to be the winners of the tournament, beating eventual Runners-Up Palace Pumas Blue 4-0 in the final.
AFC Wimbledon and Palace Puma Blue go head-to-head in the final.
Whether you're new to the game or not, there's plenty of opportunities across Surrey to get yourselves fit whilst having fun.
