Online Safeguarding Course Reminder

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility; however committee members of a grassroots football club have both a personal and collective responsibility to keep children and young people safe.

The committee’s job is to embed The FA Safeguarding Children policy, best practice guidance and regulatory requirements within the club. The Committee members can achieve this by supporting the Club Welfare Officer to:

  • Involve suitable people
  • Create a safe environment
  • Recognise and report any concerns

These simple objectives apply to every club, whatever its size. This course will explain why they’re important, and how to achieve them.

Please be aware that to complete your club affiliation to Surrey FA, the club's Chairman, Secretary and Welfare Officer must have completed this course.
