Work underway At Meadowbank

Surrey FA are pleased to announce that work has commenced for our new home at Meadowbank, Dorking.

Work on the community sport facility and football ground, which will also be the home of Dorking Wanderers and Dorking FC, commenced late last week with a ceremonial 'breaking of the ground'. The event saw representatives from Surrey FA including our President (Ray Lewis) and Chairman (Les Pharo) and Mole Valley Council attend the landmark day in Dorking.

Councillor Charles Yarwood commented: "We look forward to working closely with our partners on this exciting new development in the heart of Dorking town centre. It will provide a range of facilities and activities that will encourage active play and improved fitness."

Surrey FA Chairman, Les Pharo, followed this up by commenting: "The agreement with Mole Valley District Council will ensure the future of Surrey County FA , and provide an up to date purpose built facility for Surrey football. We look forward to a long term working relationship with MVDC.”

Along with the football facilities the new building will include three floors of soft play and a café as well as an outside patio area overlooking a playground.

Surrey FA plan to move into their new home at Meadowbank in late Summer / early Autumn 2017.
