Girls Football Sweeps Across Barnes Primary & East Sheen Primary

Girls Football Fever swept across the schools of Barnes Primary and East Sheen Primary recently. Read on for the full details.

Over the last two weeks Year 1-5 girls from Barnes Primary played a series of matches against East Sheen Primary. The girls from both teams won, lost and drew but overall gave a fantastic effort with some amazing goals scored, some unlucky near misses and some heroic goalkeeping. Each of the girls from Barnes East sheen rose to the challenge and played some fantastic football in good spirit. Surrey FA would like to send our congratulations to all that took part!

The FA also picked up on the girls efforts from Barnes Primary & East Sheen Primary, tweeting their successes on the FA Girls Football Week website as part of the national #WeCanPlay campaign.

The FA were impressed to see such confidence and talent in all the young players. Well done and congratulations to all the girls from Barnes Primary and East Sheen Primary! The schools and parents were very supportive of the girls and the tournament allowed the girls efforts to be highlighted throughout the schools.
