Player Development Centre Announcement
Surrey FA Women & Girls Football Development Officer, Jon Burr, has released the following statement regarding the Surrey FA Girls' Player...
"Dear All
Please find below an update on the Surrey County FA Girls' Player Development Centre (PDC) and the options for players in and around Surrey for next season. The County FA has taken some time and careful deliberation over our own Girls PDC, and unfortunately it has been decided that we will not be running a programme for the 2016/17 season.
It has been a tough decision as over the last five years the centre has helped a lot of local players with many moving onto Centre of Excellence football. With the new structure put in place by the FA for this season the PDC is no longer considered within this ‘Regional Talent centre’ structure and funding from The FA to County FA’s has been removed for these programmes.
We have carefully looked at possibilities of running one ourselves but felt that we wouldn’t be able to run it at the same high level as previous seasons due to cost implications. I know many players were looking to trial and be part of the centre for next season so I have tried to put the next best opportunities below to access extra training and other programs.
I hope you can understand our decision and that the options below will allow players to find a suitable extra training option to help further their development.
Local options for this season:
Fulham FC Foundation Girls Development Centre
Venue: Fulham Training Ground, Motspur Park, KT3 6PT.
Day: Tuesday Nights
Squads: U10, U12, U14

Please contact Steve to register your interest, they have run trials but will consider players and will look to fit in another trial if numbers are high.
FA Skills Programme for 5-11 year olds
We have two skills centres across the county that would suit players 5-11year olds.
