The Surrey County FA would like to invite you to our biannual County Conference, showcasing what the Association is doing to help administer, develop and change grassroots football in Surrey.
The theme of this year’s conference is Embracing Change, with the event seeing experts from the world of football discussing how the beautiful game is transforming and evolving through exciting new reforms and opportunities introduced by the Surrey County FA and the Football Association.
The Surrey County FA Conference 2012 will see skilled professionals explaining the FA’s Facility Development Strategy; how Futsal (a variation of 5-a-side football) can revolutionise a player’s technique along with a breakdown of the FA Youth Review, which was given the green light earlier this year.
Keynote speakers on the day include Kelly Simmons MBE, the FA’s Head of National Game, Graeme Dell, former England Futsal Coach and current FIFA Futsal Instructor, and FA Regional Facilities Manager Stuart Lamb.
We are delighted to announce that Kelly, who sits on the UEFA Grassroots Panel and FIFA Women’s Committee, will also be will be hosting the Conference, which will also see talks from Surrey County FA CEO Ray Ward and Chairman Les Pharo.
Surrey County FA board members and staff will be on-hand during the conference to field questions about developing and governing football in the area, and during the networking session there will be opportunities to find out more information about the Surrey Football Coaches Association, Fulham FC Foundation and Surrey Referees Association.

How to book
The Conference will be split into an afternoon session (aimed at professionals – local authorities, facility providers etc) and an evening session (aimed at volunteers – clubs, leagues, referees etc) - if you are unable to attend your designated session you can book for the alternative session.
