There were smiles all round on Monday as Ray Ward, CEO of the Surrey County FA, presented children’s charity The Rainbow Trust with a cheque for £200.

The money was raised through a raffle at this year’s Surrey County FA Presentation Evening, with people digging deep to win tickets to see Liverpool, Chelsea and Fulham in action, along with a signed Crystal Palace shirt.

£165 was donated to the cause on the night, with the Surrey County FA rounding the total figure up to £200.

Ray handed over the money to Rowena Bentley and Lisa Holder at The Rainbow Trust’s head office in Leatherhead, with the money helping to provide emotional and practical support for families with children suffering from life threatening or critical illnesses.
