“I suffer from Goldenhar syndrome which means I am partially deaf. I’ve been well supported by my family, primary and secondary schools as well as the Surrey County FA, all of whom have helped me grow in confidence.
“I first got hooked on football when I attended the Surrey Young Leaders camp in 2009, which then led on to me attending the National Leadership Camp at Warwick University. Since then all I have wanted to do is do as much as I can to help football grow and develop – I eat, drink and sleep the beautiful game!
“I hope people see me as an example showing that nothing can stop you doing what you want to do – you’ve just got to have guts. People who have had a tough upbringing just shouldn’t give up and can accomplish anything. While at the National Leadership Camp people said I was an inspiration, something which will always stay with me forever and has in turn inspired me carry on helping to improve football.
“Apart from football I really enjoy – and I’m not embarrassed to say this – WWE wrestling. Some of the storylines are a bit silly but have actually inspired me at times. The wrestlers’ never-say-die attitude helps you reach your ultimate goal.
“My Dad has been one of the biggest inspirations in my life for helping me and giving me advice in times of need. Other people that stand out in the football world for me are Steve Swallow, who is the Football Futures Camp director, and Oliver Selfe, former Senior Football Development Officer at Surrey County FA. Both have helped me take the right path in life and reach my full potential.
“My dream job would be to work at Wembley Stadium as a Football Development Officer, helping as many people get involved in football as possible. I would like to utilise my experiences in disability football so I can give something back to the community.”
