WANTED - REFEREES

The Surrey County Football Association Ltd is looking for additional referees to cover all levels of football initially within the county.

Whether you aspire to referee a World Cup Final or help out your local youth or adult leagues? Every new referee needs to attend and pass a referees course run by their County Football Association.

During past years, a number of Surrey referees have achieved their goals; being on the FIFA Referees Panel, the Premier League and the Football League; Graham Barber shown over is among that group. He started his refereeing career here in Surrey, refereeing on Little Leagues, Youth Football, Junior Football and so on.

It can be a very rewarding hobby and the opportunity is there to turn this into a profession at the highest levels, as long as you have the talent and the time.

As a group, referees have a deep love for the game so, if you have that quality and want to reach any of these goals, why not try it? You may have finished playing soccer for one reason or another, or may never have been able to play soccer in the first place but enjoy the game – it doesn't matter – you could prove to be a great referee.

Referee Training Courses and examinations are arranged throughout the county at regular intervals during the season.
