Dees FC have received a funding boost from the Football Foundation

DEES FC have successfully been awarded £6,680 over a 3 year period.

Dees FC have received a funding boost from the Football Foundation, the UK's largest sports charity. The £6,680 award will help fund training courses, facilities hire, publicity, and First Aid equipment as the club puts into place its ambitious plan.

The club currently runs three teams in the Morden & District League. By receiving this funding the club hopes to put in place its youth development plans over the next few years.

Vince Henry treasurer for Dees Football Club says, " This funding will enable the club to put in place plans for the development of local youths in the community who will be attracted to the club, not just by them being involved in an organised and competitive sporting pursuit, but by them also being involved in a well run and disciplined organisation, which will help them towards being model citizens within the community".

The Football Foundation is dedicated to revitalising the grass roots of the game, constructing modern football facilities, developing football as a force for social cohesion and as a vehicle for education in communities throughout the country.

Funded by the Premier League, the Football Association, Sport England and the Government, the Foundation is the nation's largest sports charity, having already funded 1,300 projects worth over £300 million.
