Surrey FA - developing football for everyone
Development - take your skills to the next level

The FA and UMBRO have partnered to launch a brand new national five-a-side cup competition.

The FA UMBRO Fives is the only competition of its kind – The FA Cup of five-a-side football – the biggest and most prestigious Small Sided Football tournament in the country.

And just like The FA Cup, competing teams can go all the way to the superb new Wembley Stadium!

There is a men’s and a women’s competition so everyone is welcome and it all kicks off in March with a series of local heats. The heat winners will progress to the regional finals and the nation’s top teams will go all the way to Wembley to battle it out on the hallowed turf at the Finals event this summer.

This year is the third year for the FA Umbro Fives tournament and will once again offer the teams that get to Wembley a day like no other with the England Bus, Dressing Rooms, New rld’s most famous pitches made available to the participants.

If you missed out last year then now is your chance to make amends - The FA and UMBRO are inviting all teams to test themselves in The FA Cup of five-side-football and do battle for a place in the National Finals event at the amazing Wembley Stadium. Even if you don’t fancy your team’s chances to win through you still have the chance to get to Wembley through the ‘Lucky Eights’ competition. We randomly select eight teams that were eliminated in their local qualifier and invite them to Wembley to contest their own tournament.

With the Final in summer 2009 the tournament kicks off in February with men's and women's competitions*, so register your team in The FA UMBRO Fives today and follow your very own path to glory.

How It Works
· Local qualifying heats will kick-off around the country from February 2009 and will continue through to May.

· Each qualifying heat will send their top teams through to one of eight regional finals, which will be contested during May and June 2009.

· Teams will battle it out during the regional finals for a place in the Wembley Finals event next summer where 24 men's teams and 8 women's teams will compete for the FA UMBRO Fives title.

· And those who think The FA UMBRO Fives Finals event is out of reach can think again, as 8 'lucky losers' teams knocked out during the local qualifiers will be selected at random to play in their own mini-final, also at Wembley.
