Our ethics and sports equality strategy is summarised in the FA county plan as the simple phrase, ‘football for all’. This statement is embedded within the County FA and is a crucial part of our 4 year FA County Strategy.
We recognise that individuals and communities may experience unlawful discrimination on the grounds of their race or ethnicity, disability, gender, relationship status, sexual orientation, age, language, background, faith or religious belief and physical appearance.
The Surrey County FA have a main Equality Forum with three sub-groups feeding into that Forum. The groups are Disability, Gender, and Race.
The Race sub group meets quarterly and looks at projects and issues relating to race equality.
