Rod's administrative role in football spans over twenty five years from managing a successful youth team who reached the County final. He qualified as a sports therapist and coach with the FA and also became a referee some 22 years ago in 1989.
Rod was initially involved with the Guildford, Shere & District Youth League on the committee and got involved in County activities as the representative for this league. He has been with County on the Challenge Trophies Committee and the “Old” Youth Council for approximately 15 years.
Over the past seven years Rod has been on the Referee’s committee and was recently appointed Vice Chairman, and has also been Chairman of Division 1 (now West Division).
Rod's current position is as Referee Appointments officer and this takes up many hours with 25 competitions to provide officials for.
