Surrey FA - developing football for everyone
About Us - promoting local football

Equality Mission Statement

The Surrey County Football Association is committed to tackling discrimination and harassment and promoting equality throughout the county.

Our ethics and sports equity strategy is summarised in the FA county plan as the simple phrase, ‘football for all’. This statement is embedded within the County FA and is a crucial part of our 4 year FA County Strategy.

We recognise that individuals and communities may experience unlawful discrimination on the grounds of their race or ethnicity, disability, gender, relationship status, sexual orientation, age, language, background, faith or religious belief and physical appearance.

We believe that equality for all is a basic human right and actively oppose all forms of unlawful and unfair discrimination. We are aware of the diversity of society and are striving to promote and reflect that diversity within the County FA’s own structure.

With this in mind, we are working towards achieving the Foundation Level and Preliminary Level of the National Standard for Equality which will demonstrate and measure our commitment to equality.

Tremendous strides have been made over the past few years in relation to promoting Equality and our commitment to achieving this award is testimony to this.

We welcome your feedback on this topic. If you have any queries or questions relating to this statement or any issues relating to equality generally please contact Oliver Selfe on 01372 384 744 or e-mail oliver.selfe@surreyfa.com

Kind Regards
