John joined the County FA for the 2001/2002 Season serving as League and Club Governance Secretary to date, while he is also a Board Member and serving on other Committees and Working Groups.
In addition John also acts as Chairman of the Suburban Football League and Registration Secretary/Minute Secretary of the Surrey Elite Intermediate Football League.
Prior to retirement in 2008 he spent the whole of his working life in football administration, joining The Football Association from school and then getting appointed Secretary of Wimbledon F.C. in 1964. After five seasons John joined Millwall F.C. as Assistant Secretary for two years before returning to The Football Association to work as Registration (Secretary) Manager for 38 years.
