Gordon has been involved in football for over 50 years, in both a refereeing and administration capacity, and received his Football Association 50-year Long Service Award in 2011.
He is a member of the Surrey County FA's Discipline and League & Club Governance Committees and Secretary of both the League Representatives Committee and Strategy Group.
Since 1991 Gordon has held the post of Secretary of the Surrey South Eastern Combination Intermediate & Junior Leagues and has previously been Minute Secretary of the Surrey County South Eastern Intermediate League
An active referee for 25 years, he served on the Combined Counties FL, Suburban FL and Spartan FL as Assistant Referee as well as refereeing in various local Leagues, until forced to retire through injury.
Gordon's working life was spent in various aspects of accounting (mainly for London Electricity and London Transport).
He has been married to Angela for 41 years and without her wholehearted support none of this would have been possible.
